Every report and the whole ledger are free to read, for anyone. Each new assay costs Assay real money, so everyone gets 1 free a day and holders of $ASSAY get more, plus fresh, private and automatic assays.

$ASSAY hasn't launched. The tiers below unlock when it does, and its mint will be published here and in the whitepaper. Until then everyone gets 1 free assay a day, and any coin calling itself Assay's isn't ours.

Fresh re-assay

From Assayer, 1M $ASSAY

A report is normally reused for 12 hours, so a coin that just shipped can wait half a day for a new grade. A fresh re-assay runs it again now and replaces the public report.

Private reports

From Assayer, 1M $ASSAY

The report is stored apart from the ledger. It never appears on the ledger, the latest entries or the sitemap, and only someone with its link can open it. Your account page lists yours.

Watchlist

From Master Assayer, 5M $ASSAY

Keep up to 25 coins. Once a day Assay re-assays each one whose report is over 12 hours old, and the watchlist shows every grade next to the one before it.

API key

From Master Assayer, 5M $ASSAY

One key, bound to your wallet. Each call re-checks that the wallet still holds the tier, and assays come out of the same daily allowance as the site.

How to use your tier.

    Hold

    Keep at least 100,000 $ASSAY in a Solana wallet such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack. ($ASSAY hasn't launched yet.)

  2. 2

    Connect

    Press Connect wallet in the header (it appears at launch) and pick your wallet.

  3. 3

    Sign

    Your wallet asks you to sign a short message naming this site. It's a signature, not a transaction: it costs nothing and nothing can move. You stay signed in for 12 hours.

  4. 4

    Assay

    Assay reads your balance on chain and sets your tier. It re-reads it at least every 5 minutes, so selling below a tier drops you to the one below.

The rules, plainly.

$ASSAY hasn't launched. Its mint will be published on this page.

  • Allowances reset at 00:00 UTC. An assay that fails partway is given back.
  • A tier counts per wallet. Assays a wallet runs, on the site or through its API key, share one daily allowance.
  • Reading a report never uses an assay, and a coin assayed in the last 12 hours opens its stored report at once.
  • The whole site runs at most 400 new assays a day, so on a very busy day new assays can close early for everyone.
  • Holding $ASSAY pays nothing and promises nothing. It unlocks use of Assay; it is not an investment, and a coin's price can go to zero.
